The war in Ukraine has been won by the media. Here is an alternative view.
Initially Russia demanded a neutral Ukraine, Crimea and autonomy for the parts of the Donbass which declared independence. Later, it was a neutral Ukraine, Crimea and all of the Donbass. Now Russia has taken almost all the Black Sea coast and most of the heavy industry, together with the major grain producing region of Zaporozhie (I will never attempt to say that).
With passports being issued and road and rail networks being built, it looks unlikely that any of this territory is ever going back to Ukraine.
Some newspapers in the West have begun to admit that losing your army and a quarter of your country is not ‘winning’. The Washington Post and the Guardian suggest the obvious, soft-pedalling a shift in narrative reflected by a growing sense that the Biden administration and the EU want to disentangle themselves from the mess they have made. Following Henry Kissinger’s remark, President Biden now thinks Ukraine may have to cede territory in a settlement with Russia.
It was US and EU encouragement which prevented negotiations and perhaps which compelled Zelensky to ignore his own generals and commit his soldiers to a stand and fight order in every unwinnable battle to date. Most recently this was evidenced in the doomed last stand at Severodonetsk, where a sensible retreat to Lysichansk was squandered along with the lives of many soldiers.
Perhaps his policy is to kill his own men as quickly as possible. If so, it is working - with The Guardian reporting that Ukraine is suffering a casualty rate of 600-1000 men a day. Ukraine is running out of ammunition and arms as well as soldiers, despite the billions poured into the country in materiel and in aid.
NATO secretary general Jens Stoltenberg has signalled it is all over - and Ukraine must decide how much territory it will cede to Russia. Ukraine will be abandoned by the Regime soon, which will be wishing for a swift pivot away from its greatest foreign policy disaster to date. You may not have to wait long for that.
Israel has upgraded its F35 aircraft to enable them to fly sorties to Iran without air-to-air refuelling. The US refused a request earlier this year for an air tanker to provide refuelling, revealing a rift in intentions. The US, of course, wishes to buy Iranian oil, whilst the Israelis are preparing to bomb Iran in order to “independently end the nuclear program”.
A strategic bombing campaign is an act of war, and that is likely to be the result of such a serious escalation, as Israeli agents are already assassinating Iranian nuclear engineers and drone bombing installations.
Israel has also bombed Damascus in the last week, continuing its policy of ‘destroying Iranian assets’ in Syria.
There may soon be another major war to watch. A selection of flags will be available to wear. Hold off on buying one - the range is about to be extended.
Turkey has announced it will be invading Syria. This is a well timed operation, as Turkey has not yet agreed to the accession of Finland and Sweden to NATO, giving it leverage. Should these countries fail in their application it would mean a further embarrassment for the Regime. Erdogan knows this and his invasion will likely be permitted for this reason.
Russia has withdrawn most of its troops from Syria and this leaves a vacuum to be filled - perhaps by Turkey or Iran. Conflict between the two nations is a possibility, with strong condemnation from Tehran of the imminent Turkish operation.
This adds several flags to the selection available to the Current Thinger. The coming months will be a busy time for avatars. One feature will remain constant, however.
Vladimir Putin is the Hitler of the Year 2022. He is fast approaching the status of legend, and his unlimited powers of evildoing may see him seize the top spot from legacy Hitler, Adolf - to become the Greatest Hitler of All Time.

Putin is not merely Hitler - the Sequel - he is clearly a supervillain and criminal mastermind, whose military campaign demonstrates the Regime motto that ‘Winning is for Losers’. This means if you win, you are a loser - and if you lose, you are a winner. Ergo, Russia has lost and the US and its client states are victorious. Again.
Korea, Vietnam, Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan and now Ukraine are now replete with stronger enemies to the Regime than before Freedom and Democracy came to their countries. This is the cost of winning.
Winning is also pricey in terms of, uhh, the price of things like food and fuel. Of course, the sanctions applied by the US have absolutely nothing to do with the economic catastrophe they have created, which is also completely unrelated to the mountains of cash printed to fight the deadly plague by giving all our money to billionaires and drug companies. Freedom ain’t free.
This medicine was for your own good, just like this injection you don’t need and which has certainly not given Justin Bieber some horrid nerve disorder. Coincidentally, Jens Stoltenberg has ‘COVID vaccine unrelated shingles’ - and Bill Gates thinks it was just the flu, after all - and those injections are, uhh, “far from perfect”. So all those masks and mandates and lockdowns that cost us everything were for nothing.

China has spoken out against the US and its presumed entitlement to ruling a unipolar world. The Chinese Ambassador to Russia, Zhang Hanhui, put it bluntly:
We must put an end once and for all to the hegemony of the United States, with its eternal desire to interfere in the affairs of sovereign states
Russian Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Medvedev rejoined:
Russia’s achievement of the goals of the special operation in Ukraine should lead to the creation of a new non-US-centric system of international security.
This means the Russians are indicating that
They have won in Ukraine
The US and the Regime has lost the war and its former supremacy
The result will be a multipolar world with Europe likely detaching from the policies of the US, which have proven to be utterly disastrous for everyone except their enemies. Are you tired of winning yet?
The lunatics have decided that everyone who notices they are living in an asylum should be cancelled, because this promotes social and racial justice and freedom and equality (unless you are sane). This policy, being one accepted by British universities, will surprise no one who has the ability to notice that the only group it is acceptable to persecute these days is “normal people”.
British universities are now training their shock-haired shock troops in how better to destroy the reputation and career of anyone identifying as normal in their presence. The expert class has decreed that common sense has no rights, as, being composed of basic remarks about the nature of reality, it is unforgivably offensive. If you are not yet broken, you must be destroyed - for the sake of “racial and social justice”.
