Here is an interesting book by one of their own: "The Neoconservative Revolution: Jewish Intellectuals and the Shaping of Public Policy" by Murray Friedman (Cambridge University Press: 2005). He speaks of a "revolutionary force" that "had shattered the unity and balance of civilization." (p. 98) So what is that "revolutionary force" that these Jewish geniuses had discerned? I daresay that at some point they believed that Trostsky had embodied that "force" though they would not likely admit, or maybe some would, that mass murder was an element of it. Some might even say that today's ongoing era of "plandemics" being run by their kin and fellow-travelers (Gates, et al) is also a manifestation. But to really grasp the nature of the "force" I would once again refer to the work of a keen mid-20th century observer, Douglas Reed, in his magnum opus, "The Controversy of Zion." Warning to all: Reading Reed is not good "therapy." No less an expert than Ron Unz has declared Reed's writing to contain "unfounded conspiracies."
You mentioned that Kagan and Nuland have a longstanding ethnic hatred of Russia and Russian culture.
I have often wondered about that ethnic hatred. Fr. Dennis Fahey, in his book "The Leaders of Russia" (1930s), points out 90% of Bolsheviks were Jewish, who had an abject hatred of Russians. Yes, there were pogroms, but they were not universal or long lasting, but periodic.
While reading some history, I think I found an answer. Between the 600s AD and 1000AD what is now Southern Ukraine was controlled by the Khazars, a brutal and debauched people who terrorized the Rus. Between 600 and 700, their king and his sons, seeking a solution to the social unrest that their debauchery was causing, came upon a Talmudist enclave. After learning about this, the king converted, as did his sons. Within a generation, the Khazars had embraced this religion en masse, and used the tools of usury and financial oppression to keep their empire intact...until the Rus, led by Kiev and Moscow, overthrew them. The Khazars then mostly fled West, into Poland and East Germany, though some stayed in Ukraine/Russia. It is said that Yiddish is a Khazarian language using the Hebrew alphabet.
My Jewish history professor once commented that Ashkenazi Jews are ethnically different from Sephardic Jews, and most Jews in the state of Israel are Ashkenazi. He even said that Zionism tends to be an Ashkenazi idea. (I believe he himself was Sephardic, as his ideas demonstrated a bias against Ashkenazi.)

Re the title of that essay, reminds me of the following scene from "Analyze This:
