This post is about the romantic attachment to leisure which displaces personal duty. The attachment to saviour figures is animated by this process, which offers the usual consumer rewards. I call this process “Leaderism”. CONTENTS What is Leaderism?
Haven fallen into this trap (atheism) 20 some years ago I can say in retrospect it was driven mainly by the neocon use of American Christians to wage war. It was the hypocrisy of the religious in America that turned me off. Had American Christians rose up to defeat that invasion, I would have never held such a position. I would fit in well with the early 20th century non interventionist conservatives. Liberalism brought internationalism. We had half the globe, should have built sea walls centuries ago.
I would expect that a good leader inspires action in his followers. "Leaderism" sounds like bad leadership as the followers expect the leader to act on their behalf.
A worldly leader is a placeholder and the enemy will never ever cease from corrupting them. What an unenviable position. Did King David ever receive final Grace?
Hoping leaders will solve your problems is like hoping the First Amendment will save free speech. Each runs the risk you will forget you have to do something yourself. You must act to preserve and improve your world just as you must speak freely when the situation arises.
I would say the main driver of supporting a leader rather than acting is fear. And the greater the consequences of actions the more fear. Being jailed for sharing memes is for this purpose.

Your idea of social missionary is very good. Reminds me of MASH and Hawkeye Pierce trying to save every soul he good from the meat grinder.
And so with me.
Oh God bless you PS. It’s not my idea but is an heroic way to see your own life.
It is, isn’t it?
Thank you, in any case.
A quick note, you accidentally said the opposite of what you intended to say here:
> The peace of mind flows from the immense relief from thinking and from the responsibility of taking any action.
Another quick note, 10/10 wordplay:
> New Aeon spirituality
I think I misspoke. Been rather distracted by the tooth to be honest.
I should have put the “peace of mind” in speech marks, and from *the escape* from responsibility of taking any action.
Apologies - and thank you - well spotted.
Today you've warmed my cold and bitter heart.
