Thanks for the support Frank. You are the first reviewer to cover what I wrote about the plot against Trump by the "Shadow Men."

Brilliant essay.

The saying goes, “cannibals elect cannibal kings”. And that’s where we are. That was an expertly crafted but most resoundingly lukewarm defense of the orange pancake reality star that I have yet read. “He’s better than the other guy.” By a degree in Hell maybe. There is not enough lipstick in the world to cover that pig. Only the mediocre find anything of value in Trump, if they see anything they see themselves in him. Like most charismatic figures he has a hypnotic quality that sways the weak minded. There has to be more than a tiny fragment of Americans left who understand that it is nobility, character, in leaders that matters above all other qualities; that’s it’s who they are rather than what they do that matters most.

In recent years, I have come to see "conventional wisdom" amongst politicians and the political class as neither conventional nor wise. It is all based on illusions of power and wealth, unreality, if you will. Reality threatens the illusions that Liberalism has constructed. Populism is, in large part, the political movement of "real" ideas. We peasants don't like having our wealth distributed to foreign Jewish actors. We don't like the threat of our children being sent to die on foreign soil. We certainly don't like the idea of central bureaucrats dictating policy for our local areas.

This is why I think "they" are moving to get Trump to the White House...only to crash the system. It would demonstrate that under the Liberal illusion, "things worked", but insert reality, and all of a sudden, things crash. I do not say their plan will work...only that I think that is their play. These people are concerned about their own profit. A populist win, one that corrects an errant ship, destroys the Liberal illusion...

I haven't voted for a Democrat or a Republican for President in well over 30 years, though I vote in each presidential election. My sense is that if Trump didn't exist - Western oligarchy would have to invent him. How else, at this point in the game, to convince the populace that they have a "choice," and that there is some actual "difference" between the political parties, and to ignore the ruling elites behind the curtain who simultaneously fund candidates in both parties?

The strains of thought I've seen:

"No, don't give me a partial win, don't give me hope! It's already over!"

"Not based enough. Still doomed."

"It changes nothing. They're all in on it."

None of which I'm a fan of.
